October

The kids are starting to feel normal being back in school, our holiday spirit is starting to wear off and we need a pick-me-up, don’t we?

Let’s start off October with the much-loved and pretty terrifying The Woman In Black, held at the Madinat Theatre with ticket prices from 180 AED (£36) to 230 AED (£46).  It’ll be on from 26th of September until the 1st of October, so it just made the cut.  Phew!

October is going to be a busy month for us all so kick it off, again, with the Soul Jam at the Irish Village on the 4th October with performances from Alexander O’Neal, Omar Lye-Fook, Jaki Graham and Mica Paris.  The Irish Village is the perfect venue for a soulful experience.  So, pop on over, sit down, have a drink and enjoy the show.

Something a bit out of the ordinary and for lovers of Narcos, the Netflix series, head to the Auditorium at Dubai College to meet the real-life Steve Murphy and Javier Pena, the two actual DEA agents who played an incredibly huge role in the capture of infamous narco-criminal, Pablo Escobar.  Follow up their interesting stories and life experiences with some questions of your own, plata o plomo.  Guaranteed to sell out quickly, ticket prices start at 275 AED (£55) for gold seating and 350 AED (£70) for platinum.

The next day, on October 5th, Kid Ink is going to be performing live and for free at Dubai’s newest and biggest nightclubs, Base Dubai.  If that’s your sort of thing, head on over after 10pm to see it all.  It’ll be on until 3AM so make sure you’re up for a real party.

If you’re a bit of a nutter-, sorry, I mean health nut, you can always go for the Dubai Desert Warrior Challenge on October 20th.  The ultimate adrenaline fueled obstacle course to show the world just how hardcore you are.
